PJW  RULES – YOUTH BOYS

  1. The wrestler must reside in one of the following counties: Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, or Lebanon.
  2. For registration purposes, entrants must select the school district in which they reside.
  3. A wrestler may only submit 1 Entry.
  4. Age as of December 31, 2025.
  5. PJW and PIAA rules apply to all applicants, coaches, and spectators.
  6. An 11 and 12-year-old on a Jr. High roster may choose only 1 PJW tournament series (Youth or Jr. High).
  7. No weight changes are permitted after 9:00 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
    • ALL weight changes must be submitted in writing to info@pjwarea13.com
    • No phone, text or social media message weight changes will be accepted
    • No weight changes will be accepted after the close of registration
  8. Wrestlers not making weight at weigh-in will forfeit their entry without refund.
  9. Birth certificate and proof of residency of both wrestlers must be provided if challenged.
  10. Advancing wrestlers must complete the advancement process prior to leaving the tournament.
  11. Advancing wrestlers will be required to pay a non-refundable $100.00 apparel fee prior to leaving the tournament.
  12. Bout Times:
    • All Championship bout times for 12U are 1:30 – 1:00 – 1:00. 8U and 10U are 1:00-1:00-1:00.
    • Overtime is 1-minute sudden death, then 30-second ride out if needed.
    • Consolation rounds will be 1-1-1. 
  13. Headgear is required, shoelaces must be secured, and PIAA equipment rules apply.
  14. Seeding will be by the records provided on the entry form.
  15. Full double-elimination format with wrestling back for true second (when applicable)
  16. The application must be completed in its entirety.
  17. The release and Waiver of Liability Agreement & Participant Code of Conduct form must be completed and brought along to weigh in.
  18. Failure to comply with any PJW or PIAA rule will result in disciplinary action and/or forfeiture of participation.
  19. Communicable Skin Disease Form
